1) Who was your first crush?
Ronnie - a former classmate. I think he knows I had a crush on him but I'm sure he's also puzzled why I was attracted to him in the first place. I liked him because he made me laugh.

2) Who do you currently have a crush on now?
Aside from Empoy? Sting & Hugh Jackman

3) Have you ever become so obsessed with a crush, you went to extreme measures to find out everything about him/her?
Oh yes! One time I patiently checked the white pages just to find out the phone number of my crush. Stalker ini!

Yup!

Music soothes the savage beast

I still have time to do last week's F5 before the new topic comes out. Here goes...

1) What was the first CD/Record/Album/Artist you ever bought and what format was it in? (Vinyl/Cassette/CD/MP3 Download)?
I hate to admit it but the first casette i bought was Dingdong Avanzado's foregttable album (I can't even remember the name of the album!) Yikes!

2) How do you usually listen to music? (iPod/Walkman/Stereo/Radio) -
Before leaving Manila i converted my favorite CDs into MP3s. Thanks to Limewire I can download songs to add to my collection. I don't own an I-Pod (although I would love to buy one) so I just listen to my music using my PC at home.

4) What is your opinion on music video shows and music television?
I loved watching MTV as a kid but not anymore.

5) Do you usually agree with who the winners of the Grammy Awards are?
I just watch the Grammy's just to know who the winners are. And then I check out the winners' albums to check if they are worth buying.

Friday Five - The Boob Tube

1) What TV show(s) do you find yourself watching the most?
I don't have access to cable TV here in Doha. But back in Manila I faithfully watched every episode of CSI, CSI NY and CSI Miami. If I get lucky I also get to watch Monk. But my "appointment TV show" was X-Files.

2) What if any TV shows do you own on DVD?
I just bought MacGyver (season one), Star Trek (original show - season one). We also have DVDs of Friends, Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls and CSI NY (2 seasons only)

3) Can you name your favorite TV show theme song?
"Its time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight"

4) Have you ever been on TV and if so for what?
Yup. Mostly on TV news programs. Once on CNN.

Last Week's F5 - Movies

1. What's your favorite line from a movie, and why?
I initially chose the line from "You've Got Mail" kaya lang naunahan ako ni Otep.

So instead, here's my second favorite quote from "When Harry met Sally"

Well some people would'nt be caught dead watching the "Sound of Music" but I really do love this film.

Friday Five Qs - On being a bookworm

1. What book or books were special to you in your childhood?

One of the first books I had (or at least remembered reading as a kid) was "Daniel and the Lions" and Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". I must have read this book a hundred times. You want to know why? Kasi hologram ang illustrations niya! Amazing di ba?

Of course I also loved Dr. Seuss (Green Eggs and Ham and Cat in the Hat), Roald Dahl (James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Hardy Boys, Bobsey Twins and Nancy Drew.

2. What was particularly special or memorable about those books?
The Tale of Peter Rabbit - kasi hologram nga yung pics
Dr Seuss - sarap i-read aloud kasi sing-song siya
Roald Dahl - sad yet funny stories
Nancy Drew, Bobsey Twins and Hardy Boys - 'cause i love detective stories (even if it is for kids)

3. Have you re-read any of them as an adult?
Yup! I still enjoy reading Dr Seuss and Roald Dahl.

4. If so, were the books as good as you remembered them?
Yup!

5. What do you think about movies being made out of children’s classics
(like the Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of The Rings, etc.)?
LOTR is okay, HP so-so. I really don't mind book-movie tie-ups as long as they remain faithful to the book.

1. What was the last new song you discovered?
It's actually an old song which I "discovered" while I was downloading mp3s for Empoy - Tuck and Patti's "Better than anything"

2. What was the last new dish you tasted?
I dont know what's it called - it's a lebanese snack - pita bread with zatar and sesame seeds

3. Where was the last place you visited for the first time?
Thailand (went to 5 provinces in Northern Thailand and of course I stayed in Bangkok)

4. Who was the last new person you met?
Our new officemate - still don't know what her name is though

5. What was the last new toy you played with?
My cellphone. I got it in December - still playing with the features especially the cam.
