Ana, my sole Pinay officemate celebrated her birthday on the 12th. Just for kicks, I asked my Nepalese and Egyptian officemates to translate "happy birthday" in their native languages.
The Nepalese guy said "happy birthday - same, same in Nepal."
The Egyptian guy said "yes! same same in Egypt. Habby Birthday!"
